Vacation golf in Spain : Golf Club D’Aro – Viva Variedad

They say that ‘variety is the spice of life’.  As a golfer it is important to play various courses, often.  Golf is a game of intricacies and innuendoes.  A shot is rarely simple, but exposure to different courses, conditions, grass types, elevations and golf course designs helps expand the golfer’s consciousness and creates awareness of detail that a non-golfer would regard as just a walk in the park.

We are fortunate in the US to be blessed with abundant opportunities to enjoy and grow our game.  Given the time and money, you could probably play a different golf course every day of the week within a 20 mile radius of your home!  If you’re lucky (or serious in growing your ability) you go out and do that.

Just sometimes the opportunity arises to play somewhere completely different and you find yourself flying your ball over the lush fairways trampled in ages past by pirates, infidels, inquisitors and viking raiders.  You stare out from the tee box over the same blue mountains that inspired Salvador Dali and time loops and melts and changes your perception of whats truly important.

So Rob played pretty well.  Bear shot a 77 but putted miserably.

So what!

They ate tapas afterwards under a centuries old Olive tree  in a jasmine scented stone courtyard steeped in the character, charisma and culture of Catalonia.
